Why We Teach Truth To Every Generation

In a world devoted to the destruction of children and the family, Scripture in many places and many ways teaches us how to lead every generation into a true and saving knowledge of the living God. Beginning with Moses' instruction to the people of Israel and to fathers as heads of households, we find how to establish a foundation of faith and righteousness, to children and grandchildren—that they might follow the pattern and do likewise. We will also see from several passages the ways in which the church must affirm these same truths and teach children to love and obey their parents, and to proclaim to all ages the truth that Jesus saves.

Our youth and children's ministries are vital to the church, but why? And how do they supplement but not replace the parents' and grandparents' role in training their young ones in the fear and discipline of the Lord? May the Lord continue to bless us with subsequent generations of faithful followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.
