Beware of False Prophets

Bible Text: Matthew 7:15-20 | Speaker: Mike Chalmers | Series: Messiah and King | We often think about false prophets in terms of their ancient appearance in the land of Israel. But false prophets are alive and well today, and according to Jesus, in the last days they will arise more and more (see Matthew 24).

So when we read Jesus’ words in Matthew 7:15-20, we learn that He is not only concerned for the disciples sitting before Him on the mount. He wanted His words to stand for His people throughout the ages, so that they would avoid unnecessary harm, and so that they might warn others also.
