Sin’s Sorrow

After failing to pray three times while Jesus went before His Father in the Garden of Gethsemane, Peter followed at a safe distance as Jesus was arrested and brought to Caiaphas where He stood trial. He then did the unthinkable and denied Jesus three times. What could drive a disciple of Jesus Christ to deny Him, even temporarily? What could restore someone who has failed to honour Him?
