Faith and Compassion

Speaker:
Passage: Matthew 17:14–21
Service Type:

In this passage of Matthew we see the humble posture of a man whose son was demon possessed and the Lord’s compassion to heal him. But we also see how Jesus responds to a wicked generation and even the disappointing unbelief of His own disciples. Through it we see our need for Jesus Himself and the guidance of His Word.
Sometimes it is those who are most despondent and lacking in hope who are most aware of their need for Christ. And we do well to remember that though we may feel ourselves to be Christians and even mature in our faith, our need for Christ is no less today than when we first realized our need of Him. Join us as we see again the glorious miracles of Jesus and what they teach the church today.
