Your Sins Are Forgiven

When studying the Gospel of Matthew closely, it becomes clear that Jesus came for a purpose, and that ultimate purpose was to glorify God and to save a people called by God to magnify His name on earth.

In this passage of Matthew 9 we see that there is no more glorious work resulting in the praise of God than the forgiveness of sins.

As Jesus teaches the crowds, and heals a paralytic, He demonstrates that He alone has the authority on earth to do that work. Once again the people are amazed at the Son of Man.
