For Many are Called, But Few are Chosen

Jesus once again teaches a parable that highlights the rebellion of the religious leaders, and also reveals to us that while many will hear the call to the gospel message, few are they who believe. So much so that Jesus says, “for many are called, but few are chosen.” It is a sober message about the nature of unbelief and the unwillingness of many to surrender to God’s truth; but it is also a recognition that we must spread the gospel far and wide and diligently labor to invite as many as are willing to come to the wedding feast.
